one primary, two neutrals
the werkstatt palette is mostly paper and ink. color is used where it means something. this lesson builds a palette the same way: a lot of neutral, a little of one primary.

the goal
build a palette from one primary color, paper and ink.
the steps
- start with paper and inkhalf the page is paper, a fifth is ink.
- add one primaryred, yellow or blue. give it a tenth of the space or less.
- give it one jobthe primary marks the one thing to do or the one thing to look at.
- remove the primaryif the page still works without it, it was decoration. put it back somewhere that matters.
